I Am That and Who I Am; Part II

Creation of Life
Gently, these artistic hands pulled from the earth gigantic trees, lush green grass and fertile shrubs. Blessings them, I Am bid each plant to multiply and fill the face of the earth by the fruits and flowers of each plant, in accordance to its kind. After naming all the beauty of His work, I Am let the words of Life again flow from His mouth.
“Let the fish fill up our overflowing waters and greatly multiply this good earth.”
As these words filled the cosmos, earths womb burst forth mighty beasts and docile four-legged creature. Soft winds flew across the broken, animal covered terrain.

I Am spoke gently to his wild creatures, “Go all you beasts of the field and untamed things, scatter upon this earth and multiply upon it. I will protect you as you birth your young. Have no fear, for I even clothe the Lily-of-the-Valley. Not one sparrow shall ever fall and go unnoticed by me, for they are the Apple of My Eye, precious and genuine.”

Knowing all that was, and is, and would come, I Am brought up dust from the earth and held it passionately in his aged hands. Speaking softly to the dust the Great Creator spoke to it all that He desired of it, all that it would become and do. Knowledge and wisdom would be given to this next masterpiece. It would have an assignment, commission, obligation and duty to the earth and her Creator. And I am welded it into the core of the new creatures being.

Thoughtfully, the Creator spoke into existence Deoxyribonucleic acid. As the creature’s genome executed what the designer desired, an Imago Deo formed before him.

Speaking tenderly, the Master Artists, El Roi, breathed a life giving name upon the chemical-genetic substance.

“Adam…Adam, hear me. Be the namer of all things. Your calling from me to you knits the very genetic substance within you together. Be my son. Walk with me, Adam.”

Then El Roi breathed into the nostrils of his creation, who gasped with the breath of his creator. He was Adam.
Walking with His creature, El Roi pointed out the beauties of His garden. As they walked I Am beckoned Adam to name each extraordinary creature that He saw.

When Adam had named all the creatures of the earth, each with its own kind, each with its mate, he looked up to his father and Creator with longing.
“My heart is lonely!” Cried the single living human. “Have you created me to walk all lonesome, without a kind of my own? With none to multiply the earth with? As all your other beautiful creatures do?”

I Am smiled. He knew His son's desires. This new creation was not deigned to be alone. It was not good for man to be alone.

“Sleep son.” Into a deep sleep fell His creature. Meditatively I Am pulled from Adam a rib. Sewing up his side, the Master Artist breathed life into the rib, and began molding the rib to fill and take in the needs and desires of His son. The two would be one.

Waking Adam from his deeply peaceful slumber, the newest creation was brought to his son. Immediately, Adam named the creature,

“Woman! Because she was taken out of man, she shall be called woman. She is bone of my bone and flesh of my flesh.”

I Am blessed within the woman the commission to multiply the earth, nurture children, love her husband and care for them all. She was very beautiful and virtuous. Her strengths balanced out and complimented those of Adam, because El Roi had created the woman specifically for the man.

The wise and forgetful, fearless and shy, strong and captive, trusting and stupid, swift and slothful, servant and selfish were created. Every being was created by I Am. Every creature is seen by the creator. All things are known by Him. I Am is the beginning. The beginning is set in the hearts of men. In the Creator creation finds Life.
“For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb.”
Psalm 139:13 NIV

Based upon the text from Genesis 1:1-2:2;2:3-25; Job 38:1-39:30; John 1:1-4 using the NASB and NIV Bible translations.

El Roi is the name Hagar gave God in Genesis 16:13.

The name El Roi means: "The God who sees (me)."

No one is invisible to God.

Day I of VII

Today was my first day in a skirt... for most of the day.

Actually this was an outfit I put together yesterday - blue crinkle skirt
And a plain white button up tank top.
No shoes :) Tromped a lot outside, gardened and took pictures..
And school...

And my outfit today. A green t-shirt,
And camo-crinkle skirt.
I didn't wear any shoes for the majority of the day, again.
We were at home for most of the day, and there is no need for shoes
When one has such beautifully created feet! :)
Okay, I must admit, I didn't get very creative in regards to
the hair style. But what can I say, I rarely put my hair up in a pony-tail:)

As I said, I wore a skirt... for most of the day...
The great plains winds picked up at our house at about thirty m.p.h. or more (starting at 3:30pm), which was highly unnerving, as the wind enjoyed "playing" with my skirt, bringing me to the point of being less modest than usual. I exchanged my very playful skirt with more somber jeans fifteen minutes prior to taking my almost six month old puppy to training class. Because of the wind, I didn't want to risk wearing something that could end up being more of an immodest-issue than a "strive to be feminine" leap.

I will enjoy taking more pictures tomorrow, and posting more about wearing skirts amidst the worm-wood, thistles, and forty mile an hour winds of the prairie!

Blessings in the name of Yhwh,
Miss Elisabeth

I Am That and Who I Am; Part I

Creation of Cosmos

I Am created the void. It was a void beyond our imaginings; a void without color, life, or light. Carefully, into the void I Am breathed life, which was the heavenly and the worldly. Without hesitation the Make named all that has been created. "Light shall be called Day, and darkness shall be called night." In promptly naming His creation, I Am gave significance to the nature of names. How one gives a name is based upon what they desire the legacy of that unnamed noun to be.
The first chapter of the Gospel of John says "the light shined in the darkness, bu the darkness did not understand it." Already good and evil are made clear. What is good attempts to influence that which is evil. However, evil does not understand that which is good, and so Hades and Heaven are also created.
Now that the foundation of our worldly cosmos has been put into place, I Am begins His poetic arrangement of earth corner stones.
Oceans separate heaven from earth and the land from the seas. Mists from the ground waters earth, though vegetation has yet to be molded into its place in nature. Methodically measuring all that was created I am stretched the line of earth's horizon. As they were singing their nighttime lullabies, the Creator places His stars into the expansive ocean of sky. Because of the delicacy of these great constellations, I Am took each one in His mighty hands and, placing them amidst the stars, anointed them each with a name; "Orion shall be a mighty hunter of the sky." Wording this, I Am's Sons of Heaven shouted for Joy, harmonizing with the Stars in praising the Creator of all.
Knowing trouble would come (and that creation would not be as the Creator desired) I Am stored away magnificent amounts of sparking snow and immeasurable quantities of gem-like hail in His treasury.
Diving deep into earths great expanse, our Creator shut the doors of the sea- restraining it from going any further than He intended it and disallowing it to swallow up the land with its untamed waves.
As He was creating them, the clouds were numbered by wisdom and flew from His potters hands to clothe the earth. Night's obscure gloom coddled the earth in its gentle clutches. I Am knew it's goodness.
He fixed a limit for all things, and no creation wold do what it was not created for. Eternity knew its place.
Waking the Springs of the sea, He ran the breadth of the earth, channeling the overflowing waters.
Light is the life of men. The Word is Light. I Am breathed the Word. I Am is the Word.

Blessings in the name of Christ,
Miss Elisabeth

Feelin' Feminine Challenge

I found a blog with a challenge: dress in skirts or dresses for seven days. As I was reading this blog, drinking a warm cup of coffee, I ponder the question "do I dress femininly?" Honestly, do I dress and conduct myself in such a way as to convey to the rest of the world that I am fearlessly feminine, take pride in and honor my femininity?
Perhaps this does not seem as important to you, my reader, as I believe it to be. Howedver, I challegne you: next time you are in a public setting with many peope in the room, look at those people - get a good look at them. Then ask yourself: How many, about what percentage, of the female population in the room truly dress in a feminin nature? What percentage (of biological woman in the room) conduct themselves in a lady-like, or feminine manner?
I can almost gaurantee you, not 50% of those woman will act or dress in such a way that marks them as distinctly feminine. How come? As I stated in a previous post, I believe the pressure from our culture to prove woman are "just as strong as men" is so great that the majority of American woman find it very difficult, if not impossible, to dress and act in such as to portray true femininity, without being cruely condemned, criticized and overall pursecuted.
However, one must always remember it is not the world we battle with - nor the men and woman whom we live our daily lives with, whom we walk the earth with, but "principalities and powers" who we fight against (Ephesians 6:12). The culture of todayis just one of the toold these "principalities and powers" use to misguide, decieve and wage war on the high calling God Almight has set before us woman: to be femininly distinguished, humbly servant-hearted, mystiquly honoring of God, and over all captiviating as the ezers God intended each of us woman to be.

(Disclaimer/ special note: I believe men and woman are equally important in God's earth - it is not good for man to be alone, and woman need the love that men can give them (Genesis 2:18; Ephesians 5:25) However, since I am a girl and don't quite understand the challenges young men facein our culture, I have decided not to venture in that arena, but stay safely in the areas of my own person experience: femininity! So, if you are a guy reading this, please don't be offended that there isn't more for you here, for I truly believe you have a very special place in this world - you can move mountains, be a rock in our generation, and change history in ways a woman never can... be the man God called you to be! :)

All this to say, I will be taking up the Feelin' Feminine challenge, http://feelinfeminine.com/?p=1164, starting tomorrow, Tuseday June 3rd, 2009. I will post pictures of the dress I choose to wear everyday this week, with some words on the activities I participate in each of those days - as I have heard one can do "most anything" in a skirt... we'll see =)
The Feelin' challenge is not only a "wear a skirt or dress for 7-days" challenge, but a "dress distinctly feminine in every aspect of the term for 7-days" challenge - this does include taking the time to do ones hair differently each day, wear jewelery if desired, or possible, and if you so desire, even wearing different shoes, each day, that compliment the dress (this will be nearly impossible for me, as I love wearing heals and participate in many anti-heals activities (such as puppy training and chasing, emmbedding the fear of an older sister into my two younger siblings by pursuing them up trees, threatening to tickle them, and other less than lady-like activities, like making mud-pies with my no-longer-baby sister, running through open feilds, cat-walking on the rocks in the nearby river, and climbing over/ under barbed wire, up ropes in our barn... etc... and so forth - the dream life of every human being alive, I believe (so long as they aren't neat freaks, or perfectionistic in their wardrobe - which I don't happen to be *lol* ;)

Enjoy the fantastic creation of God's sculptured earth, water colored sky, and perfectly woven together terrain of Summer.

In Christ,
Miss Elisabeth

Sunday, May 31, 2009

Well it has taken a few weeks to get this blog up and running, but here it finally is।

On of the most time-consuming passions in my life is femininity, and has been for several years। Femininity is more than how a woman dresses, or even acts; it's who they are at the very core of their being।

Of course, like all God-given things in this good earth, femininity can be beaten down, tampered with, and even almost destroyed - but it will always be present in those who God has created to be Woman. Hiding, lurking, desiring to come out and be rejuvenated, but in many cases in our culture, femininity is dying on the vine, desperate to escape from our male-friendly culture, flee from the macho-ality of so many woman today, and be cultivated, to flourish and bless.

In our culture today, not only is femininity trampled on, but masculinity is attacked, chewed up and spit out on a day-to-day, minute-by-minute basis. Take, for example, the new trend teenage/ young "adult" men have adopted in wearing their pants in such a way that allows their boxers to not only very obviously show, but quite obviously shout "LOOK HERE!" This, in my opinion, is not at all masculine, but rather another way to tromp on masculinity as God created it to be (modest, protective, strong, solid... etc. and so forth).

In no possible way do I know everything there is to know about femininity, modesty, beauty, or fashion, and I certainly am not a theologian of any kind, however, I deeply desire to serve my Lord and Savior in every way I possibly can. I have felt God leading me to expound on my ideas of the Lost Art of Femininity, and pursue this with all my heart, I merely see this as one way to do that - to research in the ways that I can and then write about what I have learned. Not only is this a way or processing that which is researched, but it is sharing my finds, discoveries, thoughts and opinions.

Again, this is merely my perspective, and not yours. You do not have to accept what is written here as fact, for it is not, I only desire to share my deep want for femininity to again bloom in this world as God created it to be, and maybe, just maybe, I can begin doing that, make a little bit of a difference, starting here.

God bless and keep you, my reader!
